Telkom Shares Rp16.64 Trillion Dividend, Up 9%

Jakarta, May 28, 2021 – At the Telkom Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held in Jakarta, Friday (28/5), PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) distributed dividends of Rp. 16.64 trillion with an increase of 9% compared to last year, or 80% of the net profit for the 2020 financial year (dividend payout ratio). Meanwhile, the remaining 20% ​​or Rp4.16 trillion is allocated as retained earnings.

With the amount of the dividend, it means that the dividend to be received by the shareholders is Rp. 168.01 per share. With the stock price at the close of Thursday (27/5) of Rp.3,380, the dividend yield of TLKM was 4.97%.

The payment of dividends for the 2020 financial year will be made no later than July 2, 2021. Shareholders who are entitled to receive dividends are those whose names are recorded in the Company's Shareholders Register as of June 10, 2021 until 16.15 WIB.

Throughout 2020, Telkom actively continued to support the government's efforts in handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery through connectivity, platforms, and digital applications as well as social assistance.

Even though the telecommunication industry was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Telkom was able to book a Net Profit of IDR 20.8 trillion, or a double digit growth of 11.5% compared to 2019, with a total revenue of IDR136.46 trillion or a growth of 0.7%. compared to 2019. In addition, the Company's EBITDA was recorded at Rp72.08 trillion or grew by 11.2%. By focusing on three digital business domains, Telkom was able to record a positive growth in revenue performance with a fairly good level of profitability despite the Covid-19 pandemic and tight business competition in the telecommunications industry.

The phenomenon of the need for internet access at home that increased quite significantly during the pandemic made Telkom try to meet the increasing public demand by serving more than 1.01 million additional IndiHome subscribers. So that at the end of 2020 the number of IndiHome subscribers reached 8.02 million subscribers or grew by 14.5% compared to the end of 2019.

This condition had a positive impact on the Company, IndiHome's triple play service recorded a revenue increase of 21.2% to Rp22.2 trillion compared to last year and strengthened IndiHome's position as Indonesia's internet with the largest market share.

Meanwhile from the Mobile segment, Telkomsel as a subsidiary of Telkom, is able to maintain its position as the largest cellular operator in Indonesia with national coverage serving 169.5 million subscribers, of which 115.9 million are mobile data users.

Telkomsel's digital business revenue grew quite well by 7% YoY to IDR 62.34 trillion, which was driven by the increasing need for public data services amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With strong cellular data revenue, the Company recorded total Data, Internet and IT Service revenues of Rp. 70.99 trillion or an 8% growth compared to the same period last year.

Telkom's President Director, Ririek Adriansyah, said that the positive performance in these various segments has further strengthened Telkom's position as a market leader in the fixed broadband and cellular industries in Indonesia. Ririek admitted, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted society and various sectors on an unprecedented scale.
