Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G. Plate invites Indonesians to express themselves at the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia through the Rumah Digital Indonesia application.
“This digital house is an expression that shows our spirit in commemorating the month of independence. Thus, the spirit of independence always radiates from every individual who is in various parts of the country," he said at the Virtual Indonesian Digital Home Press Conference from Jakarta.
The Minister of Communication and Information stated that the Indonesian Digital Home application was an innovation created by the Government to accommodate the celebration of Independence Day through the digital space. "So, the public can channel their joy in welcoming Independence Day in the midst of the global outbreak of Covid-19," he explained.
Through the application, Minister Johnny hopes that every activity that is identical to the celebration of independence day will be carried out virtually. Thus, the momentum of independence day can continue to burn continuously for some time to come. "Our spirit in commemorating the month of independence is still burning in the midst of a pandemic," he said.
The Minister of Communication and Information considered that the celebration of independence is very important to be commemorated every year by all people in the country.
“The values of patriotism and nationalism contained in this activity are very important to revive. Celebrating our independence day, we still maintain the values of patriotism and nationalism," he said.
Therefore, Minister Johnny invited the entire community to actively participate in celebrating independence day through the application. Given, there are many positive things that will be obtained by the community when using the application.
The Minister of Communication and Information stated that the public can take part in various competitions that are identical to Independence Day virtually, introduce their respective regions, and gain various knowledge related to digitalization.
"Giving us the opportunity to explore the archipelago from the gadgets and cellphones we have," he said.
