Tech sector props up stock index

The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed slightly higher at the close of trading Thursday (6/10/2022).  Issuers in the technology sector have boosted the movement of the national stock index.

Launching RTI data, JCI moved in two directions in the second trading session.  In the end, the national stock index was only able to gain 0.02 percent to 7,076.62.

Statistics show 258 stocks closed in the green, 245 stocks in the red, and 189 others were stagnant.  The value of trading transactions throughout the day reached Rp 15.93 trillion, with the volume of shares traded reaching 22.24 billion shares.

Adaro Energy Indonesia (ADRO) shares were the most traded shares, with a value of Rp 664.4 billion, followed by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) at Rp 558.7 billion, and Bumi Resources (BUMI) at Rp 475.7 billion.

On the other hand, shares of Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (CPIN) became the top loser in the same index, which was down 2.71 percent to Rp 5,375, then Erajaya Swasembada (ERAA) fell 1.81 percent to Rp 434, and Japfa Comfeed Indonesia (JPFA)  ) fell 1.77 percent to Rp 1,440.

Meanwhile, Asian regional markets were observed to be mixed or mixed, with the Nikkei index rising 0.70 percent and the Strait Times rising 0.15 percent.  Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.42 percent.
